Dr Imran Ansari is a consultant ophthalmologist with an interest in general ophthalmology and medical retinal disease. He presented a case series of Central Serous Retinopathy in Commercial Pilots at the 2013 ASAM meeting in Hong Kong.
Imran currently works at Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai (a branch of the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London), and also at Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Imran is also a qualified aviation medical examiner and is involved in the ophthalmic care for local airline staff and crew in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
He graduated in medicine from The University of London (St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Medical School) in 2000, and acquired his ophthalmic training from the UK, before moving to Dubai in 2007.
Dr Ansari is a member of The Royal College of Ophthalmologist in the UK, and a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. He also holds fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology, as well as specialist registration in Sweden.
