20 - 22 March 2016 | Gold Coast

The APHA 35th National Congress was held on 20 - 22 March 2016 at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort, Gold Coast, Australia.

The program offered a variety of sessions that appealed to a wide cross-section of participants from all areas of the private healthcare industry. The 2016 Congress had a major focus on the safety and quality of care. We asked: why does healthcare provision vary across Australia? How do you manage underperforming clinicians? Is the consumer at the centre of your business model? Will 2016 be the year the My Health Record takes off?

In addition to the keynote and plenary speakers, the Congress faciliated debate and discussion through a program of formal and informal networking opportunities, and presented a showcase of industry innovation at the Congress Trade Exhibition. APHA's 35th National Congress delivered a thought provoking and informative look into the hot issues impacting private hospitals in 2016.

At the congress

At the National Congress, APHA members had the opportunity to join together for two and a half days of discussion and networking and to hear from a fantastic array of guest speakers and experts on hot topics and vital issues in the private hospital and healthcare sector.

Concurrent to the National Congress was a health sector Trade Expo. Trade Exhibitors and delegates took the opportunity to build and develop relationships and keep current on the latest developments impacting them both.
