Professor Brian Fildes is a Research Professor at the Monash University Centre in Melbourne. He has a Ph.D. in Psychology and qualifications in Science and Engineering. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Transport Safety Research Centre at Loughborough University in the UK. He has interests in occupant protection, speeding, driver perception and injuries to older people, both on the road and in the home. Brian joined the Centre soon after it was established in 1987 and developed and managed a team of researchers and graduate students working on several safety research projects.
