Briony Murphy is a third year PhD student with the Department of Forensic Medicine, Monash University. Her PhD research comprises the first national epidemiological studies of intentional deaths from suicide and resident-to-resident aggression among nursing home residents in Australia, using medico-legal death investigation information. Briony is passionate about maximizing the use of existing medico-legal datasets to improve service provision and health outcomes for some of society’s most vulnerable populations.
