Professor Caroline Finch leads the Australian Centre for Research into Injury in Sport and its Prevention at Federation University Australia, which is one of only 9 centres worldwide recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as a Research Centre for the Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health. She is strongly committed towards ensuring that her research has a very real impact on the policy and practice settings of community sport. Her research has been used to inform safety policy by national and state Government Departments for sport and health, health promotion/injury prevention agencies, and peak sports bodies worldwide.
