Jacquii’s background is in nursing, and journalism/marketing. In an attempt to change the end result of caring for children with burn injuries in the hospital setting, Jacquii is undertaking a PhD to prevent paediatric scald injuries. Specifically, she is researching the leading cause of burns in young children - hot beverage scalds - which account for 20% of all paediatric burns in Australia. Jacquii is based at the Centre for Children's Burns & Trauma Research at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
