Associate Professor Lisa Keay is Deputy Director of the Injury Division at The George Institute for Global Health and her program of research tackles a major issue facing Australia: that of the growing burden of injury in older people, particularly those with vision loss. She has a PhD in epidemiology and a Masters in Public Health and completed a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 2007-2008 at the Dana Center for Preventive Ophthalmology. She works closely with government agencies in the planning stages of her research studies and is committed to translation of findings into policy and practice.
