The Queensland Pest Animal Symposium will be held from 7 - 10 November 2016 at Rydges Southbank Townsville, Townsville, Queensland.
If you are an international delegate, you may be required to apply for a visa. For more information, click here to view the Australian Government information on visiting Australia.
When you complete the registration form, please indicate your special dietary requirements when prompted. We pass this onto the venue to ensure a meal will be prepared for you in each break. During each catering break at the conference, please indicate to the banquet staff that you are ready for your meal. They will either get this from the kitchen for you, or show you where the options are located (depending on your requirement).

Free WiFi will be available for delegates at the Convention Centre during sessions.

Yes, the Symposium program will be printed within the Symposium Handbook which will be included in your delegate satchel upon collection from the registration desk when you arrive onsite.

Standard processing time is 24 - 48 business hours. If you register on a weekend, you will be emailed the next business day.
If payment has been made at the time of registration you will receive:
- Confirmation letter listing you registration selection, optional extras and accommodation details (if selected)
- Tax Invoice Receipt
If payment has not been made at the time of regsitration you will receive:
- Tax Invoice with payment details and terms
- You will receive your confirmation letter upon receipt of payment
We recommend bringing your confirmation letter with you as this outlines all of your registration details and outines if you have booked additional tickets to the social functions. If you are a replacing a colleague's registration, you will be required to present identification at the registration desk.
There is no student rate available for the Queensland Pest Animal Symposium 2016.
The only discounts available are the earlybird registration, which can be found by clicking on the Cost & Registration page of this conference website. Weed Society of Queensland members all receive a reduced registration rate.
**Non-payment does not constitute cancellation**
All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. A refund of symposium registration fees and social functions will be made on all cancellations received before 7 October 2016 less $55 administration fee. There will be no refunds after 7 October 2016 although substitute delegates are welcome.
Accommodation cancellations are not available within 30 days of your check-in, however substitutes are welcome. Please contact Iceberg Events on the below details to enquire or advise of a cancellation or substitute for your accommodation booking.
Special accommodation rates are being offered at the Symposium venue, Rydges South Bank Townsville and also Quest Townsville. Click here to view the information.

Please contact Iceberg Events if you have any enquiries or changes to your accommodation booking. We are managing the group booking with the associated conference hotels and they will instruct you to contact Iceberg Events directly.
No, breakfast is not included in the provided room rates.

The Symposium Dinner will be held on Wednesday 9 November at the Townsville Brewery Banquet Centre for delegates to network and relax after a full day of sessions. Click here for more information.
If you have registered as a full conference registration, you will have a ticket to both functions automatically included. You can also purhcase additional tickets to these social functions if required. Please contact Brodi Newsome on 07 3876 4988 to check what social function tickets you have within your registration.

A Symposium satchel will be given to all registered delegates upon arrival onsite from the registration desk. It will contain various Symposium materials.
THE PROCEEDINGS BOOK
A USB copy of the 2016 Proceedings Book is included in your registration fee and can be found in your delegate satchel.
