Day Registration

Day only registration includes attendance to the conference sessions, catering and the trade area on the day of registration and a satchel bag. 

Day only registration does not include attendance at the Welcome Reception on Tuesday 5 September 2017 or the Field Trip and Conference Dinner on Wednesday 6 September 2017. Tickets for these functions can be purchased seperately during the registration process.

Field Trips & Social Functions

WELCOME RECEPTION (TUESDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER 2017)

The Welcome Reception will be held at Lure, Airlie Beach. This event is an opportunity to network with our industry colleagues. A ticket to the welcome reception is included in all full conference registrations. Additional welcome reception tickets can be purchased for accompanying people or day only registrations.

Additional Welcome Reception Ticket: $77 per person

FIELD TRIPS (WEDNESDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER 2017)

A ticket to the field trip is included in all full conference registrations.

Additional field trip ticket (for day only registrations):
$150 per person (except Field Trip 2)

Places for each field trip are limited and will be allocated on a first-in-first-served basis. 

Please note that some field trip options involve walking to view certain sites, including hills and rugged terrain. It is advised that all delegates participating in the field trips wear sun safe, suitable walking attire, including closed in shoes, hats, sunscreen and sunglasses.  

Please note, if you book field trip 1 you will be unable to attend the conference sessions on Wednesday morning as the duration of these field trips are a full day. Field trips 3 & 4 are half day trips and will leave directly after the morning sessions held at the conference venue, Lure. 

FIELD TRIP 1 - SOLD OUT (AT CAPACITY)

The Reef Catchments Field Trip - Fish ladders and pile fields - System repair in the O'Connell River catchment 
Approximate timing: 7.00am – 4.00pm
Trip highlights & topics: Increasing aquatic and terrestrial connectivity and reducing erosion to support a healthy Great Barrier Reef
Cost: This field trip is included in the full conference registration cost.
NB: full day field trip attendees will not be able to attend Wednesday morning conference sessions

FIELD TRIP 2

This field trip has now been cancelled.

FIELD TRIP 3

Urban Dune Recovery Field Trip
Approximate timing: 11.45am – 5.00pm (following conference sessions)
Trip highlights & topics: Coastal Landcare group success in restoring an urban dune system. A story of local council, a wide variety of often helpful community members, high wind dune blowouts, and turtle nesting.  
Cost: This field trip is included in the full conference registration cost.

FIELD TRIP 4

The Coastal Processes & Communities Field Trip – Engaging Communities in Strategic Erosion Management
Approximate timing: 11.45am – 4.30pm (following conference sessions)
Trip highlights & topics: Coastal geomorphology and strategic planning, engaging communities in objective setting and options assessment, tour of local sites and project outcomes.
Cost: This field trip is included in the full conference registration cost.

CONFERENCE DINNER (WEDNESDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER 2017)

The conference dinner will be held at Coral Sea Resort. A ticket to the Conference Dinner is included in all full conference registrations. Additional dinner tickets can be purchased for accompanying people or day only registrations.

Additional Conference Dinner Ticket: $120 per person

For networking purposes Queensland Coastal Conference may make the name, position and company name of each attendee available to delegates in the form of a delegate list given to each attendee. In addition your contact information may be given to the sponsors/supporters of the Conference. Please advise below if you do not wish for this to occur.
