When should I arrive?
Check the e-program as this will assist you with making travel arrangements. The best time to arrive for World Hospital Congress is Tuesday 9 October 2018. Delegates taking part in the pre-Congress activities will need to arrive earlier. Recommended flight options which will ensure your timely arrival and departure can be found here. When should I leave?
We recommend that all delegates stay for the Aussie Sundowner on Friday afternoon and depart Brisbane at its conclusion or on Saturday 13 October 2018 (this will depend if you are extending your stay).

Will there be parking available at the venue?
Parking is available to delegates at BCEC. Parking is not included in your conference registration.Click here for more information on parking and fees.
I have a special dietary requirement, how is this managed at the Congress?
When you complete the registration form, indicate your special dietary requirements when prompted. The Congress Organisers will pass this onto the venue to ensure a meal will be prepared for you at each catering break and social functions (if you are in attendance). Please introduce yourself to the venue staff onsite.
Will there be free WiFi?
Free WiFi will be available for delegates within the session rooms and trade exhibition. The WiFi access code will be supplied to you onsite at the event.
What is the World Hospital Congress dress code?
We recommend business or smart casual attire for the Congress sessions. Session rooms are often cooler than many people find comfortable, so we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket.

Is AHHA or IHF membership required to attend the World Hospital Congress?
No. However, IHF members, including all AHHA members, are eligible for discounted registration. To receive your discount, enter the IHF member promotional code when completing the online registration form.

Can registrations be shared?
No. Each registration is limited to one delegate and cannot be shared by two people swapping.
Can I transfer my registration?
Registration is transferable in the event of a cancellation. All transfer of registration requests must be made in writing to the World Hospital Congress Organisers via email. Click here to view the registration terms and conditions.
Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?
All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Cancellations received prior to 12 August 2018 will be refunded less a $99 administration fee. Cancellations received on or after 12 August 2018 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome. Contact the World Hospital Congress Organisers to discuss any cancellations.

What currency will my registration fees be charged in?
Registration fees for the World Hospital Congress are being charged in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
When will I receive my confirmation letter and tax invoice?
Standard processing time is 24 - 48 hours. If you register on a weekend, you will be emailed the next business day.
Note: Iceberg Events office is closed as of 5.30pm Thursday 21 December and reopens Monday 8 January. Your confirmation letter will be sent to you week of Monday 8 January 2018.

What do I need to bring with me to the registration desk onsite?
We recommend bringing your confirmation letter with you as this outlines all of your registration details and outines if you have booked additional tickets to the social functions. If you are a replacing a colleague's registration, you will be required to present identification at the registration desk.
Is there a discount for not-for-profits or group bookings?
IHF and AHHA members receive a discounted rate. The other discount available is earlybird registration. Click here to view more information about the registration rates.
What accommodation rates are available?
Special accommodation rates are available to Congress delegates at a number of hotels. Click here for more information about accommodation.
Who do I contact to make an accommodation booking?
Accommodation bookings can be made via the online registration form.
If you have already registered for the Congress, please contact the World Hospital Congress Organisers to add accommodation. If you contact the hotel directly, they will refer you to the Congress Organisers to secure the special delegate rates.
Can I extend my booking and have a holiday?
The special accommodation rates are valid for the nights of 9 October through to Saturday 13 October 2018 (inclusive) when booked with Iceberg Events. Any dates outside of this range is subject to availability and a different pricing schedule. Contact the World Hospital Congress Organisers to discuss your booking if you have any questions about extending your stay.
I need to make a change to my accommodation booking, who do I call?
Please contact Iceberg Events, the World Hospital Congress Organisers, if you have any enquiries or changes to your accommodation booking. We are managing the group booking with the hotels, and they will instruct you to contact Iceberg Events directly.
Is breakfast included in my accommodation booking?
Breakfast is not included in the accommodation booking, unless specified on the accommodation webpage and online registration form.
What do I need on arrival to the hotel?
If you have booked accommodation via Iceberg Events and the online registration form, you will only need to provide your name to hotel reception. You will also be asked for your credit card where a holding deposit will be taken against any expenses incurred during your stay such as room service. Click here for check-in and check-out times.
Why is there no GST showing on my accommodation invoice from Iceberg Events?
GST is not charged by Iceberg Events for your accommodation, as it is considered an accommodation deposit.
If you need to claim AU GST on your accommodation, you may choose to request a receipt following your stay directly from the hotel on check-out.

Will there be a Gala Dinner?
The World Hospital Congress Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday 10 October. Join us for a spectacular evening celebrating Australian culture, food and wine. Tickets for this event are strictly limited so be sure to purchase your ticket when you register.
If you have already registered for the Congress, please contact the World Hospital Congress Organisers to add a Gala Dinner ticket.
What is the Aussie Sundowner?
A sundowner is a colloquial expression for a drink taken after completing the day’s work. The Aussie Sundowner session will embrace this tradition and wrap up the Congress with some great food and drinks on the afternoon of Friday 12 October from 3:30pm – 5:00pm. You will be able to tap into your inner Steve Irwin as you get a chance to get up close and personal with some native wildlife and use this opportunity to consolidate the connections you have made over the last three days. If you have entered any of the competitions over the last three days, this is also where the winners will be announced. A ticket to the Aussie Sundowner is included in all full registrations.
Can I bring guests to the two social functions?
Delegates are able to purchase additional tickets to the social functions for accompanying persons. Additional tickets must be purchased for these individuals.
I can't remember if I purchased tickets to the Gala Dinner/Aussie Sundowner?
If you have registered as a full registration, you will have a ticket to the Aussie Sundowner automatically included. If you have purchased a ticket to the Gala Dinner, it will be included in your registration information. You can also purchase additional tickets to these social functions if required (refer to the above section).
Are there any other activities at the World Hospital Congress?
Along with the social events there will be a range of other activities associated with the World Hospital Congress. Further details will be announced early in 2018.

Will there be a printed program?
Yes, you will receive a copy of the World Hospital Congress program in the printed handbook in your delegate satchel when you arrive. You will also be able to access the program via the Congress App.
Will presenter materials be available?
Presenter materials will be made available for download via the World Hospital Congress website after the Congress. Delegates will be notified by email when this information becomes available.
