GENERAL INFORMATION

Where will the A Culture of Care Symposium be held?
Brisbane Technology Park is located at 2 Clunies Ross Court, Eight Mile Plains, QLD, 4113. Click here to view more information about the Symposium venue. 

Will there be parking available at the venue?
Conference parking is in car park one and two, you will find directions to these car parks on the Parkable App. Parking in the Conference Centre is $3 per hour with a maximum of $8 per day. All conference parking bays are booked through the Parkable App, it is strongly encouraged that all attendees download the App prior to their arrival at BTPCC. 

Please note that there are a number of parking bays marked “Reserved”. These are for the office tenants in the Centre. Parking in these reserved bays is strictly prohibited, and vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

I have a special dietary requirement, how is this managed at the Symposium? 
When you complete the registration form, indicate your special dietary requirements when prompted. The Symposium Organisers will pass this onto the venue to ensure a meal will be prepared for you at each catering break (if you are in attendance). Please introduce yourself to the venue staff onsite.

Will there be free WiFi?
Free WiFi will be available for delegates within the session rooms and trade exhibition. The WiFi access code will be supplied to you onsite at the event.

What is the Symposium dress code?
We recommend business or smart casual attire for the Symposium sessions. Session rooms are often cooler than many people find comfortable, so we recommend bringing a jumper or light jacket. 

Is the venue accessible?
Accessible parking bays are located at the front of the building, in the Pinstripe Cafe parking area as well as the multi-storey parking facility, there is an access ramp adjacent to the front stairs of the Conference Centre. The accessible toilet is located beside the female toilets in the Atrium.

The venue offers accessibility throughout the Centre’s Atrium, Auditoriums and adjoining Pinstripe Café. However access to the Everest Boardroom and Empire Room is via stairs only and therefore delegates with mobility issues may not be able to access these rooms easily.

How do I register?

Is Metro South Health employment required to attend the Symposium?
No. However, there is reduced registration pricing for Metro South Health employees. Click here to view the registration pricing.

Can registrations be shared?
No. Each registration is limited to one delegate and cannot be shared by two people swapping.

Can I transfer my registration?
Registration is transferable in the event of a cancellation. All transfer of registration requests must be made in writing to the Symposium Organisers via email. Click here to view the registration terms and conditions. 

Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?
All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Cancellations received prior to Thursday 30 April 2021 will be refunded less a $99 administration fee. Cancellations received on or after Thursday 30 April 2020 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome. What currency will my registration fees be charged in?
Registration fees for the Symposium are being charged in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

When will I receive my confirmation letter and tax invoice?
Standard processing time is 24 - 48 hours. If you register on a weekend, you will be emailed the next business day. Your confirmation email will include;

  • Confirmation letter listing your registration selection, optional extras and accommodation details (if selected)
  • Tax Invoice 
  • Important links to the Symposium website

​What do I need to bring with me to the registration desk onsite?
We recommend bringing your confirmation letter with you as this outlines all of your registration details.

Yes, the Symposium program will be printed and distributed onsite at the venue.
