Mr. Brunswick was born in Columbus, Ohio. He received of Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University in 1993. Prior to working for the FBI, Mr. Brunswick was employed as a Senior Staff Accountant at the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse LLP and earned his Certified Public Accountants License in 1994.
Mr. Brunswick entered on duty as a Special Agent (SA) of the FBI on December 10, 1995. From 1996-2007, SA Brunswick was assigned to the Cleveland Division, Toledo Resident Agency, where he worked a multitude of criminal and counter-terrorism investigations. SA Brunswick specialized in the use of electronic surveillance and sophisticated investigative techniques in a multitude of Gang and Drug investigations. SA Brunswick was the Coordinator of the Northern Ohio Violent Crimes/Gang Task Force and the Coordinator of the Northwest Ohio Joint Terrorism Task Force. SA Brunswick served as an operator on the FBI Cleveland SWAT team from 1997 to 2007.
In 2007, SA Brunswick was promoted as Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of the Cleveland Division Drug/Gang Squad. There, SSA Brunswick commanded the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force (NOLETF) and Hotel Interdiction Team (HIT). The NOLETF and HIT comprised of over 30 full time personnel from 18 Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies. SSA Brunswick also served as FBI Cleveland SWAT Coordinator from 2007 -2013. SSA Brunswick also serves as an FBI Firearms Instructor, Tactical Instructor and Crisis Management Coordinator.
SSA Brunswick has received Proclamations from the Mayors of Toledo, Ohio and Cleveland, Ohio. SSA Brunswick has also been awarded the Cleveland Police Distinguished Service Medal and the FBI Medal for Meritorious Achievement.
In June 2013, Mr. Brunswick reported to Sydney, Australia as the Assistant Legal Attache. He is married and has two sons.
