The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q) is based at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.
CARRS-Q works closely with government and industry bodies, and gives priority to developing research to inform policy directions in injury prevention and safety, including:
- general road and transport safety;
- occupational and construction safety, including work-related road safety, alcohol and drug use;
- school and community injury prevention, including the harms associated with alcohol and drug use, adolescent risk-taking and product safety;
- intelligent transport systems; and
- vulnerable road users.
