Dr John Affleck is a specialist in Aerospace Medicine - a Fellow of the Australasian College of Aerospace Medicine, Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association and Academician of the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine.
His initial training in Aviation Medicine was at the RAF Institute of Aviation Medicine and he has completed initial and advanced courses for "Humans in Space" conducted by ASAM.
For over 30 years Dr Affleck has been engaged in air medical transport, initially with the RFDS and in the last 15 years in commercial air medical operations.
He has been a DAME for over 30 years and formerly a medical officer with CASA. Dr Affleck is a pilot with over 1000 hours of command aeronautical experience.
