Dr John Parkes, A/FACAsM, CSC is an experienced occupational physician who runs the Occupational Colour Vision Clinic in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Melbourne, where he has a comprehensive colour vision testing laboratory. He teaches Occupational Colour Vision to Optometry students. He has conducted reviews of colour vision standards for a number of National and State organisations including Defence, rail, maritime, fire brigade and police. He is a DAME, and a member of the International Colour Vision Society. His approach combines a thorough understanding and application of colour vision testing with risk assessment.
