Tony is a practising CASA Credentialed optometrist who has been involved in visual ergonomics and flying since 1971. He obtained a MSc in Optometry from the University of Melbourne for investigating the relationship between visual aerial navigation tasks and visual acuity with variable amounts of blurred vision. He has been involved in other aviation related vision research projects. He has been a lecturer for the Monash University ACCAM course and was closely involved in developing the Optometry Australia/CASA project to train and accredit over 200 Credentialed Optometrists as eye examiners for pilot medical certification.
