Steven Moore obtained his PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Sydney in 1996 prior to relocating to New York City to join the Neurology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center as a researcher. In the 20 years spent in the US Dr Moore conducted research into the neurological effects of spaceflight with funding from NASA, with experiments aboard the space shuttle, and the Mir and the International Space Stations.
