15 - 18 September 2022

What a pleasure it will be to welcome our members and friends to the 2022 Annual Conference. Our theme, ‘Back in the Saddle’, embraces the optimism of a post-pandemic world, and the program will provide an opportunity to reflect on the events of the last 2 years and look to the future. The aviation sector has witnessed great change, the space sector enormous growth, and the impact on our members both professionally and personally has been profound.

As always, the scientific program will touch on many aspects of this broad area of medical specialty.

We look forward to welcoming the John Lane Orator, Dr Lila Landowski, BMedRes (Hons.) PhD. Dr Landowski is affiliated with the University of Tasmania as Bioscience Lead (Hobart), Unit Coordinator, Lecturer and Neuroscientist. It will also be a privilege to welcome Dr Lisa Brown, the 2022 Patterson Trust Speaker.

The 2022 Patterson Trust Lecture will be delivered by Dr Lisa Brown, MBChB, PhD, FRACS, AFAsMA.  Dr Brown is a trained General Surgeon from New Zealand specialising in Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery.  In addition to her surgical training, she has also undertaken education and research in Aerospace Medicine.

For many of us it has been a long time since we were able to spend time with our colleagues, and there will be many such opportunities as part of our social program in the beautiful Hunter Valley.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Dr Craig Schramm
