The National Mental Health Commission

Platinum Sponsor

The National Mental Health Commission’s (NMHC) purpose is to provide insight, advice and evidence on ways to continuously improve Australia’s mental health and suicide prevention systems and to act as a catalyst for change to achieve those improvements.

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is an emerging priority for the NMHC, and the importance of consumers having access to high quality, evidence-based treatment, care and support, is consistent with one of the five domains in the NMHC Contributing Life Framework, namely, “effective support, care and treatment”.

The NMHC supports the Annual National BPD conference and recognises its role in promoting evidence-based treatment through bringing together those with lived experience of BPD, their families, support people along with clinicians and service providers, to build a positive, recovery oriented culture.
