Registration

On behalf of SensesWA and the conference planning and scientific committees, we invite you to register for the 11th National Deafblind Conference, to be held on Thursday 30th of June to Friday 1st of July, 2022.  Pre-conference sessions will be held Wednesday 29th of June, 2022. The theme for the conference is “Deafblind Keeping Connected through COVID and beyond”.

 

The main conference will be held from 30 June - 1 July at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges, with Conference Hubs in Melbourne and Newcastle. Pre-conference sessions will take place on 29 June. You can register to attend just the pre-conference sessions or in addition to a full conference registration.

 

Additionally, the conference will be offered virtually for those unable to attend in person.

If selecting a concession registration, you must send a copy of your concession ID (student, pensioner or healthcare consumer) to the Conference Organisers upon completion of your registration. For Deafblind you may be able to claim your registration costs for the conference through the NDIS, please talk to your support coordinator, LAC, planner or supports.

 

If you are bringing your own funded supports: interpreter, communication guide, sign guide or support worker to the conference we are offering heavily discounted registrations at $50 per day in Perth and $40 per day for the hubs, to partially cover catering costs. Please contact Conference Organisers to arrange this discounted registration.

• daytime catering on Thursday 30 June and Friday 1 July

The Melbourne Hub will be held at Ross House - 247/251 Flinders Ln, Melbourne.

In-person conference registration for Melbourne includes:

• daytime catering on Thursday 30 June and Friday 1 July
• a conference satchel 
• attendance to the Deafblind Awareness Week Cocktail Function (Wednesday 29 June)

The Newcastle Hub will be held at the Newcastle Council Building, 6 Workshop Way, Newcastle 2300.
