REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

**Non-payment does not constitute cancellation**

Registration: Registration fees for the 11th National Deafblind Conference are being charged in Australian dollars and include Australian GST. By completing your registration you have confirmed your attendance at the Symposium and acknowledgement of the below terms and conditions.

Registration cancellation: All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Cancellations received prior to 6 May 2021 will be refunded less a $50 administration fee. Cancellations received on or after 6 May 2021 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome.

Insurance: Insurance, including medical cover and travel insurance, is the responsibility of the delegate. The Organising Committee and Symposium Organisers will take no responsibility for any participant failing to insure.

Liability: The Organising Committee and/or Symposium Organisers shall not be held liable for personal accidents or loss or damage to private property of registered delegates of the conference. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.

COVID cancellation: If the event needs to be cancelled due to government regulations or lockdowns, the event will be presented wholly virtually. Should you return a positive COVID-19 test or are deemed a close contact and are required to isolate in the 7 days prior to the conference, we will convert your registration to virtual and refund the difference (excluding credit card transaction fee). Evidence will be required in the form of a copy of the email / text message sent from your respective state's health department confirming the positive result.

Registration cancellation: All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Cancellations received prior to Friday 29 April 2022 will be refunded less a $99 administration fee. The 1.7% credit card surcharge is non-refundable. Cancellations received on or after 29 April 2022 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome.

Accommodation Bookings: Accommodation is not included in your registration fee and can be purchased through the registration form at the conference rate.

To take advantage of the discounted accommodation rates, bookings must be made via Iceberg Events. Any changes to your booking must be made via email to Iceberg Events: [email protected] – not direct with the hotel. Any bookings outside of the conference dates (being in Wednesday 29 June, out Friday 1 July 2022) will be subject to the hotels' availability and best available daily rate. Please note cancelled bookings or failure to arrive at the hotel on the designated date of arrival (no-show) will incur penalties.

Full payment for your entire stay must be received before accommodation will be confirmed.  If payment for bookings has not been received within 30 days of receiving your registration, your accommodation booking will be released.

A block of accommodation is held for this event, at the prices advertised. Occasionally, the accommodation block shown will be exceeded by a rush of last minute bookings. Should this occur, every effort will be made to acquire more rooms at the rate advertised, at the same, or similar (nearby) venue. Should we be unable to acquire more rooms at a rate equal to or less than the advertised rate, your accommodation deposit will be refunded to you. We will communicate with you throughout this process.

Accommodation Cancellations: Must be made in writing to Iceberg Events prior to Friday 27 May 2022. Refunds may not be made on cancellations after Friday 27 May 2022 due to group booking policies. Substitutes are welcome.
