Claire Tellefson

National Digital Literacy Co-ordinator, Able Australia

Claire Tellefson is the National Digital Literacy Co-ordinator at Able Australia and has worked in the sensory disability sector for 28 years, bringing assistive technology to people with combined vision and hearing loss to facilitate communication and improve social and economic participation. The focus of Claire's work with the deafblind community is to support an innovative peer led model to develop skills through the use of computers and mobile devices to build capacity in digital literacy to support independent living. Claire and is actively involved in advocacy in telecommunications working closely with Australian Communications Consumer Action Network, Telstra, National Relay Service and Telecommunications Ombudsman.
