WHY SPONSOR OR EXHIBIT?

Over the last 40 years, FLPA conferences and events have developed a strong reputation among sponsors for delivering significant value for sponsor investment. FLPA sponsors report positive feedback regarding the business development opportunities and outcomes that their relationship with FLPA provides.

If your target clients are Queensland family law practitioners – family lawyers, barristers, social workers, psychologists, or other associated family law fields – then you do not want to miss the FLPA Retreat.

The FLPA Retreat will be an intimate gathering of specialist practitioners who have decision-making ability. Over the two days of the Retreat, you will have the opportunity to get to know these practitioners and build relationships that will help your business grow.

Benefits to your business include:

  • Position your organisation as an industry leader – a ‘go-to’ point for family law professionals.
  • Build your business’s brand awareness through showcasing your organisation’s products and services.
  • Build connections and relationships with attending delegates.
  • Stay informed on the trends and issues affecting family law practitioners, enabling your organisation to tailor your approach to the profession.

ABOUT FLPA

The Family Law Practitioners Association (FLPA) is Queensland’s leading industry body representing those who work in family law – family lawyers, barristers, social workers, psychologistsand associated family law fields.

Established in 1978, almost 1000 family law practitioners throughout Queensland, northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory are now members of this dynamic network.

FLPA is the largest and most successful state family law association in Australia and first started  running a specialist Queensland family law conference 40 years ago.

A tremendous success with delegates and sponsors, in 2021, FLPA will again host the FLPA Retreat at Peppers Noosa Resort and Villas.

WHO WILL BE THERE?

Up to 250 Queensland family law practitioners (delegate numbers dependent on applicable Covid-19 Regulations) will attend the intimate FLPA Retreat – primarily family lawyers and barristers, but also family law mediators, social scientists, psychologists,, financial planners and accountants.

The delegates will comprise both practitioners who are highly experienced as well as those who are in their earlier stages of their family law career. All delegates have influential relationships with professionals within family law as well as others. They also place a high value on networking with their peers and industry partners.

More family law practitioners are female than male (about 70 per cent), while delegate ages range from 25 through to 60 plus. The mean age of the delegates is about 40 years.

Delegates generally have a high disposable income and earning capacity. For example, according to specialists in legal benchmarking, Mahlab, (and its2019 private practice report), Brisbane lawyers in a major firm with five years’ experience would earn a salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000. A partner in a small firm would earn an average of $360,000.

Delegates will come from large firms, but many will come from smaller micro firms, government agencies, and be specialist sole practitioners. The majority of delegates will come from Brisbane and surrounding areas including the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba (about 80 per cent), and some will also come from regional centres across the state.
