Matt graduated from London South Bank University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Services Engineering with First Class Honours and is a Chartered RPEQ. He commenced his engineering career with EDP Consulting Engineers in 1997. After nearly 15 years with this firm, he emigrated to Australia.
Matt joined Wood & Grieve Engineers (now part of Stantec) in 2015 and is an Associate Electrical Project Engineer. Matt’s experience covers a wide variety of sectors including public, private and government projects, and leading multidisciplinary teams, inclusive of Architecture, Traffic, Building Certification, Heritage, Quantity Surveying etc.
Matt has been, and continues to be, intimately involved in a number of projects for Metro North Hospital and Health Service over the last three to four years, particularly at Redcliffe Hospital where significant infrastructure upgrades are being planned and implemented. The approach adopted by Matt and WGE (now part of Stantec) to the risks, collaboration, design and construction on these projects is pivotal to their success, particularly when dealing with aging critical infrastructure in live 24/7 operated facilities.
