Richard Bentham

Dr Richard Bentham, PhD, MSc, FRSPH is a public health microbiologist. His experience covers 30 years of research and consultancy relating to Legionella and other bacteria in cooling water systems, potable water systems and composts and potting mixes. His research has resulted in over 30 International Journal publications and consultancies to State governments in Australia and overseas relating to regulation and control. His specific areas of interest are Legionella ecology, control strategies and risk management. Richard is an Associate Professor in Public Health Microbiology at Flinders University in the College of Science and Engineering. Currently, he is Associate Director at Built Water Solutions, a water treatment specialist consultancy based in Adelaide.
