All technical tours will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, 9 October 2019 and are included in full registrations. Places for each technical tour are limited, subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-in-first-served basis. Technical tours can be selected when registering for the conference via the online registration form.
Technical Tour 1 - Olympus
Experience Olympus' latest state-of-the-art experience centre Olympus LIVE Sydney, which features a fully integrated Medical Suite complete with our latest 4K and 3D imaging technology, Endoscope Cleaning Room, Scientific Solutions Laboratory, Digital Camera Experience Zone and professional Photography Studio.

Time: meet promptly at 2:00pm for a 2:15pm bus departure
Return: a bus will return delegates back to the Novotel by 5.00pm

Technical Tour 2 - ANZ Stadium - tour full
The ANZ Stadium technical tour will have an in-depth look at the Stadium and its operations. The tour provides an unbeatable opportunity to visit exclusive ''behind the scenes'' areas inside one of Australia's biggest Stadium Facilities, offering delegates an extensive and interesting insight into the workings of an 80,000-plus seat venue.
Meeting point: meet at the Gate C entrance to ANZ Stadium (Eastern stand, adjacent to Olympic Blvd)
Time: meet promptly at 2:15pm for a 2:30pm tour start time
Tour duration: 90 minutes

Technical Tour 4 - westmead children's hospital
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is a 340 bed Hospital that is the largest paediatric centre. Opened in 1995, the hospital provides quality care and clinical services to 80,000 sick and injured children each year. This hospital provides care for children from NSW, Australia and across the Pacific Rim. The site tour will include an overview of the Children’s Hospital , as well as a tour of the critical infrastructure that serves the hospital from its Chillers, Generators and its refurbished Helipad.

technical tour 5 - westemead redevelopment project
The Westmead Precinct , Stage 1 Central Acute Services Building is a purpose built for services which manages severe injury or illness, urgent medical conditions, recovery from surgery and other critical and complex procedures. The $1 billion NSW Government project – the biggest health infrastructure project in the state – will transform the Westmead health, education and research precinct and deliver an innovative, integrated facility that will continue to deliver high-quality healthcare for decades to come. Stage 1 of the project includes a new central acute services building, which will increase integration between Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, as the highlights it will include new operating theatres, new emergency departments for Westmead adults and childrens hospitals together with other associated support facilities. It is set to open in 2020.
This tour will include an overview of this major infrastructure project , outlining the challenges of ensuring minimal disruption to the services provided by Westmead Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead as well as its integration with the Light Rail Network, and the next stages of implementation to provide patient care to the Greater Western Sydney Precinct.

TECHNICAL TOUR 6 - concord redevelopment project
The Concord Repatriation General Hospital is a 452 bed, Group A1- Principal referral Hospital and provides a wide a range of tertiary and quaternary services. The site tour of Concord Hospital will include a presentation and overview of the new $341M Concord Hospital Redevelopment that is currently underway. Part of this project included significant early works to augment existing critical infrastructure including new high voltage network, new steam boilers and heating hot water infrastructure, relocated medical gases infrastructure and other ancillary infrastructure whilst maintaining uninterrupted hospital operations. The tour will also include a review of the wider Concord Repatriation General Hospital and the surrounding estate.
