TERMS & CONDITIONS
**Non-payment does not constitute a cancellation**
**By completing your registration you have confirmed your attendance at the conference and acknowledgement of the below terms and conditions**
Registration: Registration fees for IHEA 2021 are being charged in Australian Dollars. All cancellations must be made in writing to the conference organisers, Iceberg Events: firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations received prior to Friday 13 August 2021 will be refunded less a $55 administration fee. Cancellations received on or after Friday 13 August 2021 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome.
COVID Cancellation: In light of the continuing uncertainty regarding social gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, the following recourse is offered to delegates should the 2021 live event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond IHEA’s control:
The live event will go ahead unless there is a government directive to cancel due to COVID. If the event is completely cancelled, delegates will be given the option to receive a refund, or to leave the funds to be applied to a similar future IHEA event.
If last minute COVID-19 State border closures and quarantine restrictions impact attendance, IHEA organisers will address conversion to virtual attendance, credits, delegate substitution or refunds in a fair and equitable manner.
The IHEA Conference Organising Team is not liable for any travel and/or accommodation costs associated with cancellation of the conference or inability to attend due to government restrictions or border closures. Personal or company insurance policies should be referred to in these circumstances.
Privacy: IHEA and/or the event organisers (Iceberg Events) will use the information you provide on the registration form to be in touch with you and to provide updates and information related to the IHEA 2021. By registering, you agree that we may process your information in accordance to these terms. We will treat your information with respect.
Accommodation bookings: To take advantage of the discounted accommodation rates, bookings must be made via Iceberg Events. Any changes to your booking must be made via email to Iceberg Events: email@example.com – not direct with the hotel. Any bookings outside of the conference dates (checking in 13 September 2021, checking out 15 September 2021) will be subject to the hotels' availability and best available daily rate. If you would like to book a longer stay, please contact Iceberg Events to enquire about costs and availability. Please note cancelled bookings or failure to arrive at the hotel on the designated date of arrival (no-show) will incur penalties.
A block of accommodation is held for this event, at the prices advertised. Occasionally, the accommodation block shown will be exceeded by a rush of last minute bookings. Should this occur, every effort will be made to acquire more rooms at the rate advertised, at the same, or similar (nearby) venue. Should we be unable to acquire more rooms at a rate equal to or less than the advertised rate, your accommodation deposit will be refunded to you. We will communicate with you throughout this process.
Accommodation cancellations: must be made in writing to Iceberg Events.
Refunds will not be made on cancellations received on or after Friday 13 August 2021 due to hotel group booking policies. Substitutes are welcome.
Full payment for your entire stay must be received before accommodation will be confirmed. If payment for bookings has not been received 30 days out from the event, your accommodation booking will be released.
Insurance: insurance, including medical cover and travel insurance, is the responsibility of the delegate. The Organising Committee and Conference Organisers will take no responsibility for any participant failing to insure.
Disclaimer: the program is correct at the time of printing, but the Conference Organisers reserve the right to alter the program if and as is deemed necessary.
Liability: The Organising Committee and/or Conference Organiser shall not be held liable for personal accidents or losses or damage to private property of registered delegates of the conference. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.
