Dr Jason Thompson is a Research Lead at ISCRR – the institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research where he heads up the area of Safe and Healthy Workplaces.
Jason blends a keen interest in safety and compensation system design alongside individual behaviour and decision-making. He has completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours, a Masters in Clinical Psychology, and a PhD in Medicine. His PhD thesis focused on the role of accident circumstances and demographic factors in determining psychological, physical, and return to work outcomes among people injured in motor vehicle accidents.
More recently, his publication and research interests have focused on computational modelling and simulation of transport, rehabilitation, and compensation systems.
Jason is a member of the Australasian Health and Behavioural Medicine Association, Australian Economics Society, Australasian College of Road Safety, and Australian Injury Prevention Network, Rehabilitation Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association.
