GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Where will the Successes and Failures in Telehealth Conference 2019 be held?
The conference will be held at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa from 21-23 October 2019 click here for more information on the conference venue. 

2. I have a special dietary requirement, how is this managed at the Conference?
When you complete the registration form, indicate your special dietary requirements when prompted. This information will be provided to the venue to ensure a meal will be prepared for you at each conference catering break and social function. Please introduce yourself to the venue staff onsite to locate your individual meal. Please note that sometimes your dietary requirement may already be covered under the main meal, in which case no separate meal will be provided. 

3. Will there be free WIFI?
Yes, complimentary wifi will be available to delegates at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa

4. What is the Conference dress code? 
We recommend business or smart casual attire for the conference sessions. Session rooms are often cooler than many people find comfortable, so we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket. 

5. Will there be parking available at the venue?
The Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa offers guests two levels of car parking located beneath the hotel. Parking charges are as follows:

  • Up to two hours $2.00
  • Up to five hours $5.00
  • 24 hours $15.00


Pay stations are located in the car park for ease of payment prior to departure. Valet parking is charged at $25.00 per vehicle per day. 

6. What browser should I use when accessing the conference website and registration forms?
Use either Chrome or Firefox. If you are having technical issues with accessing any of the conference website pages, please contact the Conference Organisers

7. What is the official language of the SFT-19 Conference?
The official language of the conference is English. All speakers and presentations will be conducted in English, no interpreters will be provided. 

8. I have an accessibility requirement, how is this managed at the conference? 
When you complete the registration form, indicate your accessibility requirements when prompted. The Conference Organisers will make contact with you to discuss your specific needs.

REGISTRATION

1. How do I register?
Registration will open in early 2019.

2. Do I need to register?
Yes, each conference attendee must be registered.

3. Can registrations be shared? 
No, due to the scale of the event each registration is limited to one delegate. 

4. Can I transfer my registration?
Registration is transferable in the event of a cancellation and with the approval of the organising committee. All transfer of registration requests must be made in writing to Iceberg Events via email. 

5. Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?
All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Cancellations received prior to 20 September 2019 will be refunded less a $99 administration fee. Cancellations received on or after 20 September 2019 will not be refunded, although substitute delegates are welcome. Contact the Conference Organisers to discuss any cancellations. 

6. Can I bring guests to social functions?
Yes additional social function tickets are available to purchase. You may purchase additional tickets when completing your online registration form. If you have already completed your registration please contact Iceberg Events via email to purchase additional social function tickets.

7. When will I receive my confirmation letter?
You should receive your confirmation letter within 1 hour of completing your online registration form. If you have not received your confirmation letter in this time please contact Iceberg Events

8. What do I need to bring with me to the registration desk onsite?
We recommend bringing your confirmation letter with you as this outlines your registration details and if you have booked additional tickets to the social functions. If you are replacing a colleague's registration, you will be required to present identification at the registration desk. 

9. What currency will my registration fees be charged in?
Registration fees for the conference are being charged in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

ACCOMMODATION

1. Is accommodation included in my registration?
Accommodation is not included in your registration fee and is the delegates responsibility to arrange and finance any accommodation associated with attending the SFT-19 conference. Special accommodation rates are available to conference delegates at the conference venue being Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa. Click here for more information about these rates.

2. What accommodation rates are available?

3. Who do I contact to make an accommodation booking?
Accommodation bookings are managed by the Conference Organisers. Click here to view the special accommodation rates available to registered conference delegates only. You may purchase accommodation when completing your online registration form. If you have already completed your registration please contact Iceberg Events via email to purchase accommodation.

4. I need to make a change to my accommodation booking, who do I call?
Please contact Iceberg Events if you have any enquiries or changes to your accommodation booking. Iceberg Events are managing the group booking at the conference venue; the hotel will instruct you to contact Iceberg Events directly. 

5. Is breakfast included in my accommodation booking?
Breakfast is included in some of the special accommodation rates made available to delegates. Please click here to view the rates and inclusions, we recommend that you refer to your confirmation letter to see what accommodation you have booked. 

6. What do I need on arrival to the hotel?
If you have booked accommodation via Iceberg Events and the online registration form, you will only need to provide your name to hotel reception. Click here for check-in and check-out times. 

7. Why is there no GST showing on my accommodation invoice from Iceberg Events?
GST is not charged by Iceberg Events for your accommodation, as it is considered an accommodation deposit. If you need to claim GST on your accommodation, you may choose to request a receipt following your stay directly from the hotel on check-out. 

FLIGHTS

1. Are flights included in my registration?
Flights are not included in your registration fee. Flights and transfers are the responsibility of the delegate to arrange and finance.

SOCIAL FUNCTIONS

2. Can I bring guests to social functions?
Yes additional social function tickets are available to purchase. You may purchase additional tickets when completing your online registration form. If you have already completed your registration please contact Iceberg Events via email to purchase additional social function tickets.

3. I can't remember if I purchased tickets to the Welcome Reception/Conference Dinner?
If you have registered as a full conference registration, you will have a ticket to the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner automatically included.
