Dr. Elizabeth Habermann is an Associate Professor of Health Services Research at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. As the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Scientific Director for Surgical Outcomes, she develops and executes team-based projects using both institutional and national data to study the quality and outcomes of surgical care, with over 200 papers published to date. Dr. Habermann has been studying institutional opioid prescribing following surgery for the past few years. She serves as the Chair of the Acute Prescribing Subgroup of the Mayo Clinic Opioid Stewardship Group and was a member of the National Quality Forum's Opioid Stewardship Action Team.
