Dr Liz Mear is Chief Executive of the Innovation Agency, the Academic Health Science Network in England. In this role she supports the health and care sector to adopt innovation and supports the economic growth of associated businesses. Liz has been a Chief Executive of an NHS Foundation Trust and held Director roles in a number of health providers and local authorities.
Liz is chair of the North West Procurement Development Board, a Director of the Northern Health Science Alliance; Well North, Lancashire and Cumbria Innovation Alliance Test Bed, Health Education Co-operative and sits on the Board of Health Services Research UK. She is co-chair of the NIHR Dissemination Centre Steering Group.
Liz has also worked as a senior management consultant, specialising in public sector business performance improvement and change management.
