President and CEO, American Hospital Association

Rick Pollack is president and CEO of the American Hospital Association (AHA), the nations largest hospital and health care system membership organization. Rick joined the AHA in 1982, became president and CEO in 2015, and now leads the association to help shape the health care landscape for hospitals and health systems, represents the nations hospitals on advocacy issues, and develops strategies and tools to enable members provide better care for patients and communities. Rick began his career in Washington, D.C., in 1976, as a congressional legislative assistant.  He left Capitol Hill for the American Nurses Association. Rick holds a bachelors degree in political science and communications from the State University of New York College at Cortland, and a masters degree in public administration from American University in Washington, D.C. A proud father and grandfather, he and his wife Diane live in Arlington, VA.
